Variant issues noted; issue in hand has a frontispiece comprised of two wood engravings bearing the captions, "The cut finger," and "Troubles of disobedience." Another issue has a frontispiece wood engraving of a woman holding a dead bird and lecturing a weeping boy and girl.
Variant states noted: One has front wrapper with "The Milner toys" at head of title. Other has title and flower basket vignette, with Merriam & Moore imprint.
