Reprint, with new introductory essays, of: Quinti Horati Flacci Carmina Sapphica. Chelsea : In aedibus St. J. Hornby, 1903 (the miniature ed.). Made on the original Ashendene handpress (an Albion press now in the Bridwell Library of Southern Methodist University) using the original plates, now owned by Charles Gould. Due to corrosion and warping of the plates, several pages in this reprint are illegible.
"An edition of 150 copies ... bound faithful to the original"--Prelim. p. [3].
Issued in a solander case (17 cm.) together with the prospectus for the reprint. On spine of case: Horace. Carmina Sapphica.
The 1903 miniature ed. was produced in an edition of fewer than 10 copies, the plates being photographically reduced from the text of Hornby's octavo ed. of the same year. Copy 1 was printed for the library of Queen Mary's Doll House.
