Summary
In its role as enforcer of federal laws that make it illegal to discriminate against a job applicant or an employee because of the person's race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age (40 or older), disability, or genetic information, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) presents laws, regulations, policy guidance, fact sheets, and best practices applicable to all types of employment situations (hiring, firing, promotions, harassment, training, wages, and benefits). Includes information and educational resources for employees, job applicants, employers, and federal agencies for the identification, reporting, resolution, and prevention of discriminatory employment practices.
