Summary
Manuscript account book exemplar by an unidentified British copyist, in a single copperplate hand. The volume opens with a set of "Rules" for keeping a day book, and continues with a series of fictitious entries for "Mr. Butcher," "Mr. Baker," and "Lady Strawbery," among others, illustrating contemporary practice in retail accounting.
