Biographical / Historical Note
Karl Anderson (1874-1956), American painter and illustrator; he was the brother of author Sherwood Anderson (1876-1941).
Summary
Twenty-four watercolor drawings by Karl Anderson created as illustrations for Sherwood Anderson's short story collection Winesburg, Ohio. Each drawing is mounted in a window mat also painted by Anderson, and several have sketches or other drawings on their versos. Image titles identify the illustration for each story.
