Photograph album depicting rural life and views of Jamaica, circa 1900, by an unidentified creator. Photographs include views of Bowden Harbour, Manchioneal, Mandeville, Moneague, Moore Town, Montego Bay, Port Antonia, and Saint Ann's Bay. Images may have been taken by a tourist and depict scenes of "native" dwellings, markets, roads and street scenes, sugar plantations, and coconut groves. A number of photographs show travel to "Roaring River" and "Blue Hole." Also included are a few portraits showing Indian "coolies" on the road to Mooretown, a "deaf dumb and blind beggar" at Montego Bay, and an unidentified young woman.
Mounted photographs are platinum prints; one gelatin silver print and one clipping of a photograph reproduction are laid in. Also laid in is an index, in manuscript in an unidentified hand.
