Translation of the colophon: "The book is completed. Praise be to our Abundant Giving Lord. May God pray on our Master Muḥammad. The copy of this blessed volume was completed on blessed Thursday, 22 Jumādá al-Awwal, 1095 [27 April, 1684] by ʻAbd al-Ḥaqq, the poorest of the worshipers of our True Lord, may God forgive him and his parents."

Summary
Bushrá al-kaʼīb bi-liqāʼ al-ḥabīb "Good tidings for the depressed by meeting the beloved", a treatise on death and the dead according to Islamic doctrines and eschatology by Jalāl al-Dīn al-Sutūṭī (1445-1505), one of the most prolific Muslim scholars of the late Mamelukes era (1250-1517), summarized by the author from his longer book on "al-Barzakh" (time between death and resurrection according to Islamic tradition), titled: "Sharḥ al-ṣudūr bi-sharḥ ḥāl al-mawtá wa-al-qubūr" (Delight of the hearts by explaining the status of the dead and the tombs). Copied on Thursday 22 (probably 12) Jumādá al-Awwal, 1095 (27 April, 1684), by ʻAbd al-Ḥaqq. Place of copying not mentioned.
