Summary
This film follows the everyday 'secular' lives of nuns in a Romanian Orthodox monastery. As well as documenting the nuns' activities, relationships, and roles within the community, it also incorporates sequences of live-action animation to depict some of the filmmaker-anthropologist's own particular challenges of working in the field.
