Summary
A film about American airstrikes in Vietnam [WARNING: includes distressing scenes.]. Hanoi: Map showing US air strikes and a voiceover explaining Nixon's decision to bomb Hanoi. Photographs of children at a bomb site and footage of bombed cottages. Civilians work together to carry one bloody casualty from the site on a stretcher across a stream. Haiphong: Jerky footage of bombing and ships. Extended scenes of civilians leaving their homes and moving casualties. Diplomatic core and foreign journalists visit a bombed high school, and the voiceover describes a deliberate attempt by the American government to do-away with education in Vietnam. Images of dead children and footage of bombed homes. The narrator explains how some of those who escape death cough blood and experience nerve trouble. Footage of a distressed woman and a mother.
