Summary
Documentary proposing that a proportion of global arms expenditure be spent instead on feeding and educating children in developing nations. [WARNING: includes images of dead and injured soldiers and civilians.]. This film juxtaposes idyllic imagery of the socialist lifestyle with archive footage of wars, nuclear fallout and starving children around the globe. While socialist nations are shown to be striving for modernisation and renouncing war by signing the Stockholm Appeal, the Western media is accused of conjuring rumours of the “Red Menace” and doubling their military budgets.
