Summary
The order and tranquility of the Cataño family is shaken when a vacuum cleaner salesman knocks on their door trying to sell his modern product. The young daughter, Maru, is enchanted by the salesman and from that moment on dreams of breaking free of her conservative family. This film reflects social change in urban 20th century Mexico due to the rise of the middle class.
