Collection of materials relating to productions of three works by Marc Blitzstein (1905-1964): The cradle will rock, a musical by Blitzstein inspire by the work of Bertolt Brecht; Regina, an opera adapted from The little foxes by Lillian Hellman; and The threepenny opera, a musical written by Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill and translated into English by Blitzstein. Books in the collection include copies of plays of Lillian Hellman. Also included are scripts of Regina and Blitzstein's translations of Mother Courage and The threepenny opera, and a poster advertising The cradle will rock at Orson Welles' Mercury Theatre.
