Biographical / Historical Note
The Railroad Commission of Texas, a state agency, was established in 1891. It took over responsibility for regulating oil pipelines in 1917, oil and gas production in 1919, and natural gas delivery systems in 1920.

Typescript with manuscript corrections by an unidentified individual, discussing regulations of Texas oil and gas industries, circa 1949-1956. Followed by printed portion of Rules and regulations of the Texas Railroad Commission oil and gas (Austin: R. W. Byram & Company, 1937). Included sections cover statewide application of rules and regulations and the production and transportation of sweet and sour natural gas.
