Michiko, the daughter of the publisher of an elegant women's magazine, marries Kenzo. He does not have much money and at one time hoped to become a writer. He continues to be involved with a woman named Junko who supported him in his writing activities. Michiko represents talent, ability and virtue in his life, while Junko represents passion and excitement. Kenzo is a man who wants to have it all - unfortunately with two women at the same time.
