Summary
It was Princess Diana's favorite choral work and Sir Georg Solti was immensely looking forward to conducting it at the 1997 Proms. The performance took place the week they died and the Requiem became a deep-felt memorial to them both. Colin Davis stepped in at the last moment to conduct Solti's specially chosen team of artists.
