Summary
Focusing primarily on the physical attractiveness of post-pubescent underage teenagers to certain men and women, this controversial documentary argues that pedophilia is not unnatural; criminal and immoral, yes, at different times and in different places, but not unnatural. The film's broad scope allows ample room to unpack the heavily freighted term in order to consider psychological, legal, societal, historical, cultural, biological, and evolutionary points of view. Testimony of a childhood victim of pedophilia brings the discussion back from the intellectual realm to the lived reality of sexual abuse perpetrated by adults on the young, and interviews with an offending female pedophile and a non-offending male pedophile are included as well. Are All Men Pedophiles? is an important overview of a viscerally disturbing topic.
