Summary
This poll is part of a continuing series of monthly surveys that solicit public opinion on the presidency and on a range of other political and social issues. Respondents were asked to give their opinions of the 2004 presidential election, the candidates, political parties, the way George W. Bush was handling certain issues (such as the economy, the war in Iraq, and terrorism), and how they felt about Bush's next term. Respondents were also asked about their opinions of both George W. Bush and John Kerry and which candidate they favored in the election. The survey also included questions about various issues of the campaign such as social security, tax cuts and tax rates, same sex marriage, abortion, religion in schools and politics, pop culture and its influence, and physician assisted suicide.
