Summary
This special topic poll addressed the relationship between Japan and the United States in detail and focused on the G7 meeting of seven major industrial nations in Japan. Specific questions covered whether respondents thought the United States economy was getting better or worse and whether trade with Japan was fair. Additional topics included financial aid to Russia and handgun legislation--specifically, whether the respondent agreed with the not-guilty verdict for a Louisiana man who fatally shot a Japanese exchange student.
