Summary
This data collection is part of a continuing series of monthly surveys that evaluates the Reagan presidency and solicits opinions on a variety of political and social issues. Topics covered include the federal income tax system, Reagan's handling of the situation in Panama and Nicaragua, aid to the contras, and United States troops being sent to Honduras. In addition, respondents were asked if they thought various presidential candidates were qualified to be president, which party had the best chance of winning the presidency in November, which candidate among several possible tickets the respondent would vote for if the election were held that day, candidates the respondent would not vote for under any circumstances, and George Bush's role in the Iran-Contra affair.
