Summary
The 2001 Chilean Social Mobility Survey examined inter-generational and intra-generational mobility in Chile. The data contain information on adult Chilean men's education, migration, current job, first job, social origins (parents' education, occupation, assets and living standards when the respondent was 14 years old), wife/partner, inter-generational transfers, household income and assets, respondent's siblings and focal brother, and respondent's opinions about inequality and determinants of economic well-being.
