Summary
Mechanical models of planet formation can't fully explain the diversity in observed system architectures found over the last couple of decades. Because stellar photospheres evolve slowly, we can use them as fossil records of the initial conditions in protoplanetary disks ... Chemistry is one of the important initial conditions of planet formation. Our catalog will help place constraints on formation models by identifying differences in abundance patterns between hosts with similar stellar properties but different system architectures. We are excited to be involved in this work and present ideas for future prospects in the field.
