Biographical / Historical Note
Herman C. Koempel (1869-1911) was an independent fire adjuster associated with the Caledonia Insurance Company of New York. In 1906, Koempel represented the company in adjusting fire losses in San Francisco, California, following the San Francisco earthquake.
