Dataset of documents for text data mining (TDM) pertaining to the War of 1812. Chiefly consists of letters of marque and reprisal from the Department of State to private armed vessels permitting them to cruise against the enemies of the United States but includes a collection of intercepted British papers, chiefly military correspondence related to Indian affairs on the U.S./Canadian frontier from 1789-1807.
