Summary
Since the beginning of the filming of "Å“Malcolm X,"#x9D; the soon-to-be-released Warner Brothers' movie, controversy concerning the film director's treatment of the slain Black leader, as well as his promotion of the film, has been ongoing. Director Spike Lee's critics include Blacks who feel that the film is a dangerous distortion of Malcolm's life and that Lee's demand that all Blacks should take a day off work and school to see his film is shameful and irresponsible commercial exploitation. Three community spokespersons appear to debate this issue with host Tony Brown.
