Summary
A tour of France presenting the landmarks and highlights of life in Paris as well as the scenic beauty and traditional way of life in the Dordogne Valley. Shows rural French people using primitive methods to bake, wash clothes and make wooden shoes. Includes scenes of peasant dances performed during the celebration which follows a wedding ceremony. Details the role of the local Catholic Church in a small village. Examines the benefits of the quiet, slower pace of life in the village and the problem of younger generations moving away to larger cities.
