Expense ledger used as a photograph album with identification photographs (chiefly double-shot pictures) compiled by the Newport Police Department of criminals charged in Newport, Oregon, circa 1930s-1940s. A name and crime accompany each photograph; most photographs have text on the versos providing additional information for escaped individuals, including committed name, alias, and true name; crime, sentence, sentence date, and county; occupation; date of birth and nativity; height, weight, eye color, complexion, hair, and build; and identifying marks. Some photographs are of prisoners sent to the Oregon State Penitentiary. 4 photographs are of crime scene evidence (footprints and fingerprints). E. E. Chambers is stamped on the album cover; Police Chief Gigliardi is written on the first page.
