The title pages of Strong's almanacs for 1806 and 1807 published at New Haven identify Strong as the author of those formerly issued under the pseudonym of Hosea Stafford.
In comparison with the almanac of the same title issued under Strong's name at Hartford for 1799, the eclipse predictions and other astronomical material on p. [2], the astronomical notes on the calendar pages, and most of the calendar page calculations are identical. The slight partial variations in the latter are occasioned by the difference in meridian between New Haven and Hartford. "Stafford" includes Strong's characteristic page entitled "Variation of sun and clock."
