Arthur Lloyd Fletcher (1881-1966), former North Carolina Commissioner of Labor, was a lawyer and historian. Fletcher served as a reporter-soldier during the Mexican Expedition and World War I.

Photograph album with photographs compiled by Arthur Lloyd Fletcher of the United States Army 3rd North Carolina Infantry Regiment in El Paso, Texas, and France, 1916-1918. Approximately half of the album depicts the regiment’s service during the Mexican Expedition; the other half documents their time in training camps in South Carolina and service abroad in France during World War I. Identified locations include Camp Glenn in North Carolina; Camp Stewart in Texas; Columbus, New Mexico; and Buillionville, Flirey, and Thiaucourt-Regniéville, France.
