Antoinette Champetier de Ribes (1892-1973) was a French sculptor.
Alexis Rudier (d. 1897) founded the Fonderie Rudier (Rudier Foundry) in 1874 in Paris. It was later run by his son, Eugène Rudier (1875-1952). The foundry produced works for sculptors in the 19th and 20th century, including Auguste Rodin, Antoine Bourdelle, Gustave Miklos, Aristide Maillol and Daumier.
Gertrude Stein (1874-1946) was an American novelist, poet, playwright, and art collector. From the time she moved to France in 1903 until her death in Neuilly-sur-Seine in 1946, Stein was a central figure in the Parisian art world. Among those whose careers she helped launch were painters Henri Matisse, Juan Gris, and Pablo Picasso. Among Stein's most influential works are The Making of Americans (1925); How to Write (1931); The Autobiography of Alice B. Toklas (1933), and Stanzas in Meditation and Other Poems, [1929-1933] (1956).
