Followed by a letter dated Bennington, June 23, 1779, signed by John Witherspoon and Sam. J. Atlee, members of a committee of Congress, concerning the authority of Vermont to raise militia in Cumberland County.
Imprint supplied by McCorison. Hanover, N.H., was in 1778 and 1779, acknowledged by its inhabitants to be Dresden, Vt.
