Biographical / Historical Note
Theodore Harry Wickwire, Jr. (1879-1960) was the son of Theodore Harry Wickwire (1851-1926) and Emma V. Woodmansee Wickwire (1854-1929). His father and uncle established a blast furnace in Buffalo, New York, in 1906--from this, the steel and wire manufacturing companies Wickwire Steel and Wickwire-Spencer evolved.
Summary
Photograph album with photographs likely compiled by the Wickwire family of a trip to Montana and/or Wyoming, 1930. Depicted are unidentified men, women, and children at a dude ranch and packhorse camping--it is likely that among the individuals depicted are Theodore Harry Wickwire, Jr., wife Sophie Hedge Wickwire, and children Theodore Harry Wickwire III and Hedge Wickwire. Circa 40 photographs show the family on a separate trip (likely in New England). 60 loose photographs are laid in to the front cover.
34 photographic postcards of Montana, Wyoming, or Yellowstone National Park are attributed to A. G. Lucier, Ned Frost, F. Jay Haynes, or Charles J. Belden.
