Summary
Attorney Wendell F. Holland was born on February 10, 1952 and raised in Ardmore, (Lower Merion Township), Pennsylvania. He attended Fordham University on a basketball scholarship and graduated in 1974 with his B.S. degree in urban studies and psychology. He then attended Rutgers School of Law where he was class president. He specialized in energy and utility regulation, and worked with the New York Public Service Commission and the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PaPUC). He served as a judge; and, in 1990, was appointed as Commissioner of the PaPUC. In 2002 and 2003, respectively, Holland was appointed to coordinate the Philadelphia Trade Missions with the People's Republic of China and Africa. In 2004, Holland became chairman of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. Holland served on the boards of three public companies and several non-profits. In 2007, Holland was the treasurer of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioner.
