Summary
Physiologist Albert G. Crenshaw was born on March 20, 1952, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He earned his A.A. degree from Chowan Junior College in 1973; his B.A. degree in biology from West Virginia University in 1977; and his Ph.D. degree in physiology and anatomy from the University of Ume in Sweden in 1994. Crenshaw began his career in 1978 as a research technician at the University of California San Diego Orthopedic Research Lab. In 1989, Crenshaw moved with the lab to the NASA Ames Research Center at Moffett Field near San Francisco. After receiving his Ph.D. degree, Crenshaw served as a research assistant in the department of anatomy at the University of Ume . In 2000, he was appointed associate professor at the Centre for Musculoskeletal Research at the University of Gavie in Ume , Sweden. Crenshaw contributed over fifty scientific articles to publications such as European Journal of Applied Physiology.
