Garth Williams (1912-1996) was an American artist and illustrator of children's books.
Summary
Two pen and ink drawings by Garth Williams for the first chapter heading of E. B. White's book Stuart Little, published in 1945. The drawings depict two versions of the same scene and are signed by Garth Williams directly beneath the images. Each drawing is accompanied by a wide strip of paper bearing Williams's annotations and signature.
