Biographical / Historical Note
Thomas Nelson Baker (1860-1940) was an African American minister, author, and philosopher. He graduated from Boston University's College of Liberal Arts with a BA in 1893; completed a Bachelor of Divinity at Yale Divinity School in 1896; and completed a Doctorate in the Department of Philosophy at Yale University in 1903.
