Thomas Nelson Baker (1860-1940) was an African American minister, author, and philosopher. He graduated from Boston University's College of Liberal Arts with a BA in 1893; completed a Bachelor of Divinity at Yale Divinity School in 1896; and completed a Doctorate in the Department of Philosophy at Yale University in 1903.

Photographs of Thomas Nelson Baker, 1891-1893. One photograph, by Notman Photo Co., is a studio portrait depicting Thomas Nelson Baker, 1893; inscribed on the verso: "T. Nelson Baker '93 C. L. A; B. U." One photograph, by N. L. Grant, is an informal group portrait depicting male and female members of Boston University's College of Liberal Arts class of 1893, including Thomas Nelson Baker; inscribed on the mount recto: "Baker Island, Boston Harbor, Mass, June 1891". Accompanied by a printed program for a graduation ceremony at Boston University on June 7, 1893 in which Baker is listed among the candidates for degrees at the College of Liberal Arts.
