The publication is dedicated to the largest collection of samovars in Russia -- its variety of forms and types well known in the middle of the XVIII--XX centuries. The collection of the State Historical Museum includes traditional coal and modern electric samovars designed and decorated with a variety of materials and manufacturing methods. Of particular value are rare artefacts of the middle of the XVIII -- first half of the XIX century. The monuments of the Russian tea drinking tradition preserved by the State Historical Museum testify to the unique historical and cultural heritage associated with the development of samovar craft in Russia for almost three centuries.
