Summary
The third in a series of "If" strips, published in The Guardian on 18 July 2018 without the speech bubble. "Inspired by James Gillray's print "Fashionable contrasts, or, The Duchess's little shoe yeilding [sic] to the magnitude of the Duke's foot" of 1792. The Helsinki summit was portrayed as something of a "love-in" between the two notoriously macho politicians, which may have troubled Putin, who had imposed his own law outlawing "propaganda of non-traditional sexual relationshiips" among minors in 2013."--Steve Bell.
