Anshaʼa bi-qudratihi anwāʻ al-jawāhir al-ʻaqlīyah, wa-afāḍa bi-raḥmatihi ḥarakāt al-ajrām al-falakīyah, wa-al-ṣalāh ʻalá dhawāt al-anfus al-qudsīyah al-munazzahah ʻan al-kudūrāt al-insīyah, khuṣūṣan ʻalá Muḥammad ṣāḥib al-āyāt wa-al-muʻjizāt, wa-ʻalá ālihi al-tābiʻīn lil-ḥujaj al-bayyināt ..."
البداية: "بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم، وبه نستعين. الحمد لله [الذي] أبدع نظام الوجود واخترع ماهيّات الأشياء بمقتضى الجود. انشأ بقدرته أنواع الجواهر العقلية، وأفاض برحمته حركات الأجرام الفلكية، والصلوة على ذوات الأنفس القدسية المنزّهة عن الكدورات الإنسية، خصوصًا على محمد صاحب الآيات والمعجزات، وعلى آله التابعين للحجج البيّنات ..."

على وجه الورقة 1: "هذا كتاب متن الشمسية في علم المنطق للكاتبي، عفي عنه. آمين."
In the introduction (folio 1b), the author states that he presented his book to a certain dignitary: Shams al-Dunyā wa-al-Dīn Abū al-Muẓaffar Muḥammad ... ibn Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad al-Juwaynī.
يذكر المؤلف في المقدمة (ظهر الورقة 1)، أنّه قدّم كتابه لأحد الوجهاء: شمس الدنيا والدين أبو المظفّر محمد ... بن محمد بن محمد الجويني.
Colophon: "Wa-li-yakun hādhā ākhir al-kalām fī hādhihi al-risālah. Tammat kitābatuhā bi-ḥamd Allāh wa-ʻawnih wa-ḥusn tawfīqih. Wa-ṣallá Allāh ʻalá Sayyidinā Muḥammad wa-ʻalá ālihi wa-ṣaḥbihi wa-sallam. Āmīn."
الخاتمة: "وليكن هذا آخر الكلام في هذه الرسالة. تمت كتابتها بحمد الله وعونه وحسن توفيقه. وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه وسلم. آمين."
Translation of the colophon: "Let this be the end of the discourse on this epistle. The copy was completed by the praise of God, His help, and His abundant benevolence. May God pray on our Master Muḥammad, his family and his companions and grant them peace. Amen."

"al-Risālah al-Shamsīyah", a treatise on logic (Arab/Medieval), by ʻAlī ibn ʻUmar al-Qazwīnī al-Kātibī (1203 or 1204-1276 or 1277), a philosopher and logician, a student of the celebrated scholar Naṣīr al-Dīn al-Ṭūsī (1201-1274). Name of copyist and place and date of copying not mentioned, probably from the 18th century.
