Summary
Manuscript copy of Richard Harding Davis's story "Richard Carr's Baby", which appeared in the children's magazine St. Nicholas, November 1886, vol. XIV, no. 1. Also includes a printed copy of the story taken from the issue of St. Nicholas; four manuscript letters, signed, from Davis to Judd Stewart regarding autographs; two manuscript letters, signed, from Davis to the editors of St. Nicholas regarding the plot of "Richard Carr's Baby" and his fee; and two photographs of Davis. Manuscript, printed material, letters and photographs are pasted onto blank pages in a notebook.
