B. J. Bridges (1862-1932) was president of the Georgia Colored Industrial Orphans' Home, located in Macon, Georgia.

Typescript letter, signed, from B. J. Bridges to Messrs. Safe & Lock, Co., Seattle, Washington. Bridges asks for a donation to the Georgia Colored Industrial Orphans' Home to assist in building a dormitory for African American girls. The letter is accompanied by a promotional flyer that describes the mission of the Georgia Colored Industrial Orphans' Home.
