Biographical / Historical Note
William Rees (also known by bardic name Gwilym Hiraethog) (1802-1883), Welsh poet and author. An Independent, he was appointed minister at Mostyn, Wales, in 1831. Rees later preached at Denbigh, Wales, and Liverpool, England, before resigning in 1875.
