Biographical / Historical Note
Jonathan Parsons (1705-1776) (Yale 1729) took charge of the Congregational Church at Lyme, Connecticut in 1731. Following the Great Awakening, he took charge of a new Presbyterian congregation in Newburyport, Massachusetts in 1746.

Manuscript volume of of seperate sermons bound together, unsigned, given by Jonathan Parsons in Lyme, Connecticut, and Newburyport, Massachusetts, 1731-1763. Bible verses referenced include Colossians 3:14, Luke 6:21, Romans 6:21, Matthew 12:39, Ephesians 5:4, and 2 Kings 2:12.
