Summary
Karl Jenkins is arguably the most commercially successful classical composer of recent decades. The recording of his Adiemus - Songs of Sanctuary, originally composed for the Delta Airline commercial, topped the pop and classical music charts in Europe and Japan. When he was asked to write a 'Celtic-sounding' piece of music to celebrate the millennium, he set the music and text around the patron saint of Wales, St David (Dewi Sant). Filmed over three days in the medieval cathedral of St David's, the mixture of Jenkins' music, 300 musicians, 200 young singers, and this beautiful setting results in a unique television production.
