Summary
In 1944, a Hungarian drugstore assistant hears the wrong word at the wrong time, and inadvertently sends his boss to a death camp. Years later in 1960, feeling awful, he calls a trial where his friends are the prosecutors. The film weaves in and out of time to tell the story.
