Biographical / Historical Note
Guido VIncentinus (died 1332) was a member of the Dominican order who was Prior of the Convent of Santa Corona in Vicenza before serving as Bishop of Ferrara from 1304 until his death in 1332. His Margarita Sacrae Scripturae has survived in several copies.
Summary
Manuscript on paper, in a single scribal hand, containing the first part of Margarita sacrae scripturae, a poem in Latin hexameters summarizing the books of the Bible. This fragmant contains the epitomes from Genesis through Isaiah; there is no chapter for Psalms. Preceded by a prose preface, probably the work of a later author, introducing the poem as a "fragmentum veteris."
