Summary
"One winter night, Dunya, a twenty-year-old Muslim student, after slipping on the stairs of a Mamilla shopping mall, arrives badly injured at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem. Little by little, with the help of Tova, a Jewish social worker, and Tova's daughter Noa, a young and independent-spirited artist, she remembers the horrific event that happened to her before the fall, and her world collapses. Using the tools she is familiar with -- the Muslim religion from her upbringing and science from her studies, Dunya tries to answer the painful questions that arise. She discovers that sometimes the answers are found in the simple humanity that we all share, and in the close and empathetic relationship that is sometimes possible between women." -- adapted from back cover
