Bound in thick brown paper; front cover decorated with hand-colored reproduced line drawing of clouds over which are mounted textured cloth, tar paper, and thread; attached to strands of the thread is a wooden needle (14 cm), which is inserted beneath a partially cut out element of the line drawing; also mounted on front cover are a cut out figure of a person, the author's name, and the title. Back cover includes a hand-colored reproduced line drawing of clouds (similar to front cover) with a cut-out illustration of an oil lamp layered on top. Above both cut-outs are two additional cut-out illustrations of male figures holding an oversized needle in one hand in black ink on brown paper. Beneath the back cover illustrations is a panel with text that reads: "Ediciones Vigía, Coleccion del Estero." Endflaps extend from both front and back cover and fold in to face endpapers; both has panel pasted with publisher's name. Pasted illustrations also occur throughout the book in black ink on brown kraft paper, and chapters are divided by kraft paper pages with titles in black ink on white paper panels, and with authors' names beneath.
