Collection of copies of 17th and 18th century papers relating to Queen Anne and state and parliamentary matters in Great Britain. Includes manuscript copies of letters, in an unidentified hand, addressed to Queen Anne discussing her military success in the Battle of Ramillies; the War of Spanish Succession; political relations between Russia and Sweden; treaties; and other political affairs. Letters are from various monarchs, including Frederick IV, King of Denmark and Norway; Joseph I, Holy Roman Emperor; Augustus II, King of Poland; John V, King of Portugal; and Frederick I, King of Prussia. Also includes manuscript copies of state and parliamentary papers, such as minutes relating to the House of Commons; notes from George Monck, the Duke of Albemarle; and government documents pertaining to military troops, ammunition, and weapons.
