Date of creation supplied by cataloger. The copy was made at some point after Mahler wrote the piece and before Rosë conducted the Waldmärchen movement for the first time in 1934.
Stamped "Alfred Rosé Wein." The portfolio containing the orchestra parts bears the name and address of the Ludwig Doblinger (Bernhard Herzmansky) Orchester - Spezialgeschäft shop in Vienna.

Summary
A set of 53 orchestra parts for the Waldmärchen movement of Das Klagende Lied, copied in an unidentified hand. Accompanied by: three negatives and seven photographic prints of pages from the original manuscript score (Osborn Music MS 507), including the final page of the preface, signed by Mahler and dated 18 March 1878, as well as pages 3 and 15 from the Waldmärchen section of the score (Folder 1); one program from the 1969-1970 season of the London Symphony Orchestra, at which Waldmärchen had its British premiere, and one program from the 13 January 1970 performance of Das Klagende Lied by the New Haven Symphony Orchestra (Folder 2); six newspaper clippings and photocopies of sixteen reviews of Das Klagende Lied performances, 1970 (Folder 3); twelve items, primarily photocopies of articles, New Haven Symphony Orchestra program study notes, and other writings about Das Klagende Lied, 1969-1980 (Folder 4).
