Summary
"In verse. Title from caption. "J.B. Keller, bookseller, publisher, engraver & manufacturer, no. 226 Baltimore Street, Baltimore, Md."--publisher's advertisement, p. [4] of printed wrapper. According to extant Baltimore directories, John B. Keller was located at 226 Baltimore St. by at least 1847. An 1846 directory was not available. Although Keller is not listed in the 1849-50 directory, he is listed in 1851 as a bookselling partner with W.L. Keller at 57 Baltimore. Copy in hand bears inscription dated 1851. "J.B. Keller's splendid edition of super royal octavo colored toy books"--publisher's advertisement, p. [4] of wrapper. Wood-engraved illustrations hand-colored."
